Core Technological Breakthroughs: Substrate, Coating and Chip Breaker Profiles
Substrate Strengthening Leveraging self-developed substrate strengthening technology, ACHTECK Tools enhances the bonding strength between cobalt and tungsten carbide and improves overall substrate strength, enabling the tool to maintain excellent deformation resistance even at elevated temperatures. Meanwhile, by optimizing carbide grain size and cobalt content, the tool’s resistance to thermal fatigue failure in superalloy machining is significantly improved, effectively extending tool life.
Coating Toughening Adopting coating technology specially developed for difficult-to-machine materials, combined with self-developed coating toughening technology, coating adhesion and peeling resistance are greatly improved. The denser atomic structure of the coating reduces the friction coefficient, and effectively insulates cutting heat when machining high heat-load materials such as superalloys. The gradient hardness distribution — with a wear-resistant outer layer and a toughened inner layer — slows tool wear and ensures stable machining performance.
Diversified Chip Breaker Profiles A wide range of chip breaker options are available, including CS/CM (parting and grooving), TS/GS (turning grooving), and RM/RS (profile grooving). The newly added RS profile features a sharp cutting edge and low cutting force, delivering excellent chip control across finishing to semi-finishing operations.
