Powered by Precision Cutting Tools, Advance Smart Manufacturing Together! The 4th Advanced Manufacturing Technology Exchange Conference for the Steam Turbine Industry Concludes Successfully
From June 7 to 9, 2026, the 4th Advanced Manufacturing Technology Exchange Conference for the Steam Turbine Industry was successfully held in Ganzhou. The event was co-hosted by Metal Working Magazine of China Machinery Industry Information Research Institute and the Steam Turbine Industry Metal Cutting & Process Technology Liaison Network, and undertaken by Ganzhou ACHTECK Tool Technology Co., Ltd.

At the conference, Achteck Tool presented its full-industrial-chain strategic layout in an all-round manner, and highlighted its full set of customized tooling solutions developed for the energy sector. Taking the machining scenarios of core components for steam turbines and generator sets as examples: for blade machining demands, ACHTECK Tools has developed standard round inserts including APM00-RO10 and APM00-RP08; for machining of cylinder casing split faces, it has specially developed non-standard three-side rough milling cutters; for rotor blade root slot machining, it has customized inserted-type and solid cemented carbide Christmas tree milling cutters; for the finish machining of generator rotor dovetail slots, it has launched exclusive non-standard dovetail slot milling cutters.
As reflected in its product portfolio, Achteck Tool has achieved full-process tooling compatibility for core energy components from roughing to finishing, fully demonstrating its profound technical expertise and strong product innovation capabilities accumulated over years of deep engagement in the energy machining field.

In the industry case sharing session, senior technical experts from well-known domestic steam turbine enterprises shared the excellent on-site performance of ACHTECK tools combined with front-line production practices.
Verified by mass production tests at multiple leading manufacturing enterprises, ACHTECK Tools’ wide range of products, including turning inserts, round milling inserts, face milling inserts and U-drill inserts, fully meet high-end machining requirements in core performance indicators such as chip breaking control and long-term stability. Domestic substitution for some imported high-end tools has now been realized. Compared with equivalent products from leading European and American brands, ACHTECK solutions can directly reduce tooling costs by more than 30%. The proven application results break the stereotype that "high-end manufacturing can only rely on imported tools", and strongly demonstrate the reliability and competitiveness of high-quality domestic cutting tools in the high-end manufacturing sector.

To allow attendees to gain an intuitive understanding of Achteck Tool manufacturing strength, the conference arranged a group visit to the production base and product testing center. At the plant and exhibition hall, participants learned in detail about the full-range production processes of cemented carbide tools, observed automated production lines and strict quality inspection procedures up close, and gained an in-depth understanding of the complete manufacturing cycle of high-end CNC cutting tools from raw materials to finished products.

At the product testing center, Achteck's technical team delivered an in-depth analysis of blade feature part machining. On-site engineers conducted cutting demonstrations on typical workpieces. The stable cutting process and excellent forming accuracy intuitively showcased the superior machining performance of ACHTECK tools, leaving a deep impression on all attendees.

Since its founding, Achteck Tool has always adhered to its brand positioning as "The Expert of Difficult Machining". Taking technological innovation as its core driving force, the company focuses on upgrading product performance and service capabilities, closely aligns with customers’ actual demands, and is committed to providing global customers with premium-quality cutting tools and customized services. The successful holding of this conference marks further industry recognition of Achteck Tool technical strength and product performance, and lays a more solid foundation for the company to deepen its presence in the energy industry.

In response to the new requirements for high-quality development of the energy equipment industry, Achteck Tool will continue to focus on three core directions to empower industry development in the future:

The company will continuously increase R&D investment in substrate materials, coating technologies and tool geometries, further consolidate and expand its leading position in extreme machining fields such as titanium alloys, superalloys and precipitation hardening stainless steels, and deliver more competitive machining efficiency and tool life performance for customers.
2. Deepen customer demand insights and improve localized service quality. Based on a thorough understanding of customer needs, the company will transform from providing single products to delivering integrated cutting solutions for key components. Meanwhile, by strengthening support from local application engineers and collaboration with industry project teams, it will help customers achieve greater value creation.
3. Build ecological collaboration and promote whole-chain innovation. The company will actively establish collaborative innovation mechanisms with strategic customers and industrial chain partners, strengthen whole-chain collaboration from R&D and design to end applications, and promote in-depth integration of technology and services with an open and pragmatic attitude to build a sound and growing industry ecosystem.
