Good News | Achteck Tools Honored with the 2026 Ringier Technology Innovation Award for the Metalworking Industry
On June 25, Ringier Industrial Media held the grand award ceremony of the 2026 Ringier Technology Innovation Award for Metalworking Industry in Suzhou. AP100U, a small-parts machining grade independently developed by Achteck Tools, was honored with this award.
Designed to enable precise and high-efficiency machining of small parts, AP100U has been widely favored by customers since its launch, backed by full-chain self-developed technologies including nano-laminated coating, ultrafine-grain tough substrate and low-friction post-treatment. With outstanding cost-effectiveness — delivering a 20% longer tool life and 15% better surface finish — it stood out from numerous competing technologies and products and gained high recognition across the industry.

Small Parts Machining —New Grade AP100U

Awards represent authoritative industry validation of technical strength, while real machining feedback from frontline workshops is the most solid proof of a product’s value.
Customer Machining Pain Points
A manufacturer specializing in automotive hydraulic seals had long struggled with machining free-cutting steel workpieces: Strict surface finish is reguired on workpiece end faces, and chip adhesion occurred frequently during machining. The conventional tools previously used only delivered a single-edge life of 200–400 pieces. Frequent tool changes caused constant production line interruptions, making it difficult to raise theoverall production efficiency.
Achteck Tooling Solution
Given the material characteristics of the part, we recommended tools with the LF sharp chipbreaker geometry paired with the AP100U grade. After adoption, the customer’s machining performance improved significantly:
Single-edge tool life steadily rose to around 800 pieces, with measured life reaching 800–1200 pieces in some production batches;
Tool replacement frequency dropped sharply, and unplanned production line downtime was greatly reduced;
Tool consumable costs and overall machining costs decreased simultaneously, while the quality consistency of mass-produced parts fully met quality inspection standards.
Customer Feedback
The customer’s production manager commented after application:“The chip adhesion issue that used to give us the biggest headache has improved remarkably, and surface finish has improved significantly. Tool changes are far less frequent now, and the rhythm of the entire production line runs much smoother. All in all, the comprehensive machining cost has really dropped a lot.”
Machining Case Study

From authoritative industry award recognition to tangible efficiency gains on the workshop floor, Achteck Tools’ AP100U is delivering cost-effective cutting solutions for the precision small-parts machining industry with its solid product performance.
Grade Features
AP100U adopts a substrate made of ultrafine tungsten carbide, featuring high hardness combined with excellent toughness. Paired with a nano-interface engineered composite coating, it is especially suitable for ground sharp-edge inserts and enables high-efficiency, long-life machining.
