AHT Tool proudly introduces the all-new AHM10-XO09/12 Series high-feed milling cutters, specifically engineered to address the challenging cutting demands of difficult-to-machine materials in high-end manufacturing sectors such as aerospace and energy. Featuring a 10° small entering angle combined with dedicated insert geometries and grades, the series delivers high-efficiency machining characterized by high metal removal rates, low vibration, and exceptional stability. It is ideally suited for typical roughing operations requiring shallow depths of cut and high feed rates.

Core Design

10° Entering Angle – Efficiency Meets Stability

PART 01

High Metal Removal Rate – Maximized Efficiency
  • Leveraging the chip-thinning effect, the 10° entering angle enables high feed per tooth (fz) at shallow cutting depths (ap), delivering high table feed (vf) and significantly increased metal removal rates – substantially reducing roughing cycle times.

  • Designed for the high-feed milling logic of shallow ap and high fz, this solution perfectly meets the high-efficiency roughing demands of aerospace structural parts and energy-sector superalloy components.

PART 02

Stable axial force – vibration eliminated at its root.
  • Cutting forces are directed primarily along the spindle axis (the stiffest direction of the machine), drastically reducing radial forces to minimize deflection, vibration, and chatter at the source – particularly suited for long overhang and low-rigidity setups.

  • Uniform axial load distribution extends tool and spindle life, ensuring consistent dimensional accuracy and surface quality in complex and deep cavity machining.

Insert Technology

Dedicated Geometry & Grade – Tackling Tough Materials

PART 01

All-New Dedicated Geometry
  • Optimized cutting edge geometry and chip flow channels for titanium alloys, superalloys, and precipitation-hardening stainless steels – reducing built-up edge, adhesion, and work hardening.

  • Reinforced cutting edge balances sharpness with chipping resistance for high-feed, high-strength cutting, ensuring stable continuous machining.

PART 02

Customized Grades

High-performance carbide substrate + specialized coating deliver superior hot hardness, wear resistance, and thermal shock resistance – capable of withstanding cutting temperatures exceeding 700°C.

Optimized for aerospace and energy materials, tool life is extended by approximately 20% over general-purpose inserts – reducing tool change frequency and overall costs.
