New Product Launch | AP010S New Turning Grade & SC1 New Chip Breaker for Superalloy Machining

In the field of difficult-to-machine materials, common products on the market often suffer from short service life, low machining efficiency, severe built-up edge formation and unsatisfactory workpiece surface quality. To address these issues, ACHTECK Tools launches the AP010S, a new PVD turning grade for superalloys, paired with the new SC1 chip breaker.
PART 01 AP010S: New Turning Grade for Superalloys

The AP010S grade is mainly designed for machining difficult-to-machine materials such as nickel-based, titanium-based and iron-based superalloys, as well as stainless steels. Compared with conventional grades, it delivers significantly improved performance, markedly extended tool life and effectively enhanced machined surface quality.
Grade Features
◾ Newly developed ultrafine-grained tungsten carbide, with substrate strengthening technology applied to enhance the bonding strength between cobalt and tungsten carbide and improve the high-temperature resistance of the binder phase.
◾ Adopts special coating post-treatment technology to improve the coating's resistance to built-up edge (BUE) formation and high-temperature oxidation.
◾ Brand-new nano-grained high-aluminum coating with exceptional hardness, structural and chemical stability, perfectly suited for high-speed machining of superalloys.

When paired with the newly developed AP010S — the dedicated grade for difficult-to-machine materials — it further optimizes machined surface quality, ensures stable machining processes and extends tool service life.
